SIP Receives Recognition and Hawaii Green Business Program award from Governor Abercrombie. 

SIP was one of six businesses in the state to receive the recognition On April 20, 2011

"To earn the admirable distinction of being a 2011 Green Business Office & Government Program Award Winner, Sustainable Island Products has made all their company vehicles carbon neutral by purchasing carbon offset credits issued by Live Neutral, an organization that helps businesses offset business, travel, and vehicle emissions. They also funded the planting of a koa tree on the Hamakua Coast to offset their carbon footprint. Sustainable Island Products should also be commended for offering free packaging reclamation to customers to ensure reuse or proper recycling of the packaging, as well as for using 100% post-consumer waste office paper."
